Following the Signing Ceremony, His Majesty and His Excellency as well as members of the Royal Family and the official delegation of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, attended an Official Luncheon hosted in honour of His Excellency's visit. The Luncheon took place at Baiturrahmah, Istana Nurul Iman.

The Official Luncheon began with the recitation of Doa Selamat by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Doctor Ustaz Awang Haji Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti.

His Majesty in a titah says that the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste's membership in ASEAN requires perseverance, discipline and unwavering commitment.

His Majesty added that commitment to cooperation and the principles of the UN Charter, the ASEAN Charter and international law must remain steady, consistent and credible.

His Excellency, in his response, explained that the relationship between the two countries has been built on mutual respect, friendship and cooperation.

His Excellency explained that the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste appreciates the steadfast support of Brunei Darussalam towards becoming a member of ASEAN.

This Official Visit further reflects the longstanding friendship and commitment to enhancing bilateral relations and regional cooperation, particularly within the ASEAN framework.
